Is Soy Sauce Treif?

Even as the Kosher Bachelor works on a cooking-with-humras piece, along comes this sobering news from Japan: Chinese soy sauce from human hair leaves fatal aftertaste in Japan.

Thanks to Warren Ellis for this timely warning. TrackBack

I guess I want to know more about the first guy to discover that you COULD make soy sauce from human hair. I'm thinking of Charlie Chaplin boiling and eating his boot in "The Gold Rush." Or that recipe on the back of the old Ritz cracker box for "mock apple pie" -- as if real apples are harder to obtain than Ritz crackers. By the way, a little ear wax and green food coloring and voila -- wasabi! No wthat's good eatin'.
